Le professeur Willem Ron est chef du département de chirurgie cardiovasculaire à l'hôpital universitaire Motol. Spécialiste certifié dans le domaine de la chirurgie cardiaque. Il enseigne à la faculté de médecine de l'Université Charles, auteur de travaux de recherche et de manuels sur la chirurgie cardiovasculaire. En 2016, il a effectué 460 opérations sur le cœur et les gros vaisseaux.
