Overview

The Dunyagoz Group was first established in June 2004. It currently has a total of 18 clinics situated in Turkey and Europe. These clinics specialize in eye health care, and the team is composed of over 150 professionals and over 1500 personnel.

The clinics are located in the Turkish cities of Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Izmit, Adana, Samsun, and Gaziantep. There are also clinics across Europe in Holland, Germany, and England.

The Atakoy branch has earned a JCI quality certification. The hospital treats cataracts, glaucoma, strabismus, diabetic eye conditions, and pediatric eye diseases. There are 8 private rooms, a café restaurant, a lecture theater, a mini golf field, a small mosque, a chapel and a synagogue. Their medical tourism project provides a pick up service between airport and hospitals, as well as translation and interpretation services in 7 languages.

Location

The clinic is situated in Turkey's largest city, Istanbul, just a 13 minute drive to the International Ataturk Airport. Istanbul is a transcontinental city, between the Marmara Sea and the Black Sea, in Europe and Asia. Istanbul is brimming with mosques, bazaars, and Turkish baths as well as ancient architecture.

The Masumiyet Müzesi or "Museum of Innocence" in Pamuk, in the Çukurcuma neighborhood of Beyoğlu, is a 25 minute drive from the clinic. The museum is based on the one described in the famous novel of the same name by Orhan Pamuk, a Turkish author and Nobel-laureate.

Among the beautiful attractions there is the Kiz Kulesi or 'the Maiden's Tower', which is a 41 minute drive from the clinic. This tower has functioned as a customs station, lighthouse, and a residence for retired naval officers.
