Histerectomía
Revisión:La histerectomía es una operación para extirpar el útero. Con una histerectomía, solo se extrae el útero, o también el cuello uterino, los ovarios y las trompas de Falopio. Una histerectomía se puede realizar a través de la cavidad abdominal (histerectomía abdominal) o a través de la vagina (histerectomía vaginal). Una histerectomía se puede realizar como cirugía abierta o cirugía laparoscópica (cirugía artroscópica). Los fibromas uterinos son la causa más común de histerectomía. Dado que el período de rehabilitación es muy largo, la operación se indica solo enSi otros tratamientos no han tenido éxito. Después de una histerectomía, una mujer deja de menstruar, no puede tener hijos y se le prescribe una terapia de reemplazo hormonal.
