    Ongoing developments and increasing technical requirements are leading to ever greater specialization in dentistry. The necessary training is thus becoming more difficult for the individual dentist. For this reason specialists in the field of oral implantology have joined the Academy of Oral Implantology. Since the founding of the Academy for Oral Implantology in 2004, 18,275 patients have been treated, just under 26,530 implants placed and about 4,528 augmentations (measures for bone formation) carried out. The success rate of all implants set since the beginning is 96%.
