Hospital overview

On a plot of land of about 32.000 m2, a building of the size of three soccer places has been built. The building itself has been erected in record time – only 18 months after laying the foundation stone in March 2011, the staff was able to move into the new offices. The architecture not only takes the technical requirements into consideration, but also delivered a pleasant ambience for patients and employees alike. Several green atriums deliver daylight into every single room of the building, and a Japanese Garden serves as a peaceful oasis in the entrance area. The requirements for radiation protection were met with the so called “sandwich-procedure” (Forster Sandwich Construction®) – a form of construction, which made a cost-efficient and quick construction possible and fulfills all structural- and radiation protection relevant requirements.
