    Hospital overview

    In 1884, the City of Lyon decided to create an open retirement home, regardless of age, for all the disabled workers: "Hôtel des Invalides". In 1960, the establishment was ceded to the Hospices Civils de Lyon to give it a much more medical orientation. Under the direction of Pierre Garraud, chief administrator, the establishment is called the Center for Care and Medical Treatment for the Elderly.
