HELIOS Hospital Berlin-Buch is part of the HELIOS Hospital Group, which has a network of 111 hospitals. The combined group treats around 4.5 million patients each year, with over 34,000 beds and 68,000 staff.

The hospital itself treats more than 48,000 inpatients and 130,000 outpatients each year. As a multi-specialist hospital, there is a wide variety of departments which include general surgery, oncology, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, nephrology, pediatrics, neurosurgery, neurology, and orthopedics.

In 2007, the new hospital building was opened and some of the old building was restored. The hospital is fitted with over 1,000 treatment rooms, 46 of which are in the private section of the hospital. Services provided include free Wi-Fi, television, interpretation services, visa assistance, a pharmacy on site, and both hotel and airport pick-up and drop-off.

HELIOS Hospital Berlin-Buch works with a number of international insurance companies which includes AXA PPP, Allianz World Wide Care, and International SOS.

HELIOS Hospital Berlin-Buch is located 24 km from Berlin Tegel Airport and 40 km from Schonefeld Airport, both airports accessible via train or taxi. The nearest S-Bahn station to the hospital is Berlin Buch S-Bahn, just 1.5 km away.

The hospital is located in Buch, an area located in northeast Berlin. Schlosspark Buch, which is a small park located along a river where patients can relax, is located 2 km away from the hospital. Buch swimming pool is also located nearby, just 3 km from the hospital.

Berlin's city center, which offers plenty of historical and cultural attractions, is located further afield. Alexanderplatz, a popular shopping area that is also home to the famous TV Tower, can be reached within 18 km of the hospital via public transport.
